The meeting of the LIFE REEF project team with representatives of the Latvian National Museum of Natural History was successful online on November 4. Representatives of LIFE REEF briefed on the planned works and activities in the field of public information and scientific data.

In the course of the meeting, it was concluded that the results of the LIFE REEF project could be used both in the work of the Latvian National Museum of Natural History and in the natural education centres of the Nature Conservation Agency in Salacgrīva, Dundaga and Ķemeri.
"Museums serve as a link between science and society. “This is a wonderful event that the LIFE REEF project will produce scientific data and materials that can be fully used for informing the public,” says the Director of the Latvian National Museum of Natural History Skaidrīte Ruskule.
One of the most pressing topics was also discussed: experience in the functioning of the museum and public awareness challenges during THE COVID-19 pandemic.

The LIFE REEF team thanks representatives of the Latvian National Museum of Natural History for practical advice and interest in promoting marine natural richness in Latvian society.
